Varsity Head Coach
Judge Chavez
Coach Judge Chavez graduated from Valley High School in 1977. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from University of New Mexico in 1982. He taught elementary education for twelve years and high school education for sixteen years. Coach Chavez has over thirty-two years of coaching experience; five years at West Mesa High, five years at Valley High School, seventeen years at Highland High School, and the last five years here at Cibola High School. We feel he saved the best for last! Coach Chavez loves football both on and off the field.

Junior Varsity Head Coach
Coach Robert Erp
Coach Erp graduated from Escondido High School in California. He went to Eastern New Mexico on a baseball scholarship. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Physical Education. He has a Master’s Degree in Education. Coach Erp teaches at Cibola. He has coached at Portales High School, Gallup High School and Cibola High School (10 years). He was formally the head baseball coach. The apples of his eyes are his boys, Darian (7) and Brayden (4).
